Data Scientist in the field of data management and data analysis (m/f/d) Full-time or part-time

To strengthen our team in the area of "Data Science", we are looking for a (Junior) Data Scientist (m/f/d) to work on research-intensive topics with a focus on data management and database technologies and an interest in data analysis and machine learning. We offer the opportunity to become a member of an international, well-coordinated team of about 45 researchers who work on tasks in the areas of data management, data-driven modelling, process optimisation, predictive analytics and artificial intelligence. Typical areas of application are the analysis and optimisation of industrial processes in machine manufacturing and maintenance or in the energy sector. The team works with renowned Austrian and European companies and research institutions.

You have

  • University degree (Master) in Computer Science, Data Science or a related field of study. Ambitious Master students are also welcome.
  • Sound education in data management (databases), experience in data integration, (semantic) data modeling, data quality, distributed data infrastructures, NoSQL databases, cloud platforms and container technologies.
  • Knowledge and practical experience in data analysis, data visualization and machine learning advantageous
  • Knowledge of ontologies and knowledge graphs is a plus
  • Good skills in software development in modern high-level languages such as Java, Python or R
  • Ambitions in research and problem solving
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
  • Good knowledge of English, good knowledge of German would be an advantage

Salary
The minimum gross salary is € 3.246,-- each 14 times a year for full employment. The actual salary depends on the applicant's qualifications.
