The principal task of Upper Austrian Research GmbH (UAR) is to support the province of Upper Austria in its work relating to research policy and its development of research programmes with the aim of establishing and strengthening research competencies in the key areas of local business. It contributes actively to the continued growth and development of Upper Austria as a centre of research, technology and innovation.
UAR is a shareholder in leading research centres. Its task is to continue the development of the share portfolio and provide a forwardlooking research structure and stable processes. With precisely directed communications activities the UAR also increases the national and international visibility of research achievements and supports the positioning of the Upper Austrian research community.
