Interfaces ready to use in a flash thanks to AI

Interfaces (APIs) are the central building blocks in IT, which we all use without really thinking hundreds of times a day. A quick look at the weather app, track online when our package is going to arrive, or checking whether the robot vacuum cleaner is making its rounds, all of these applications use interfaces to exchange data. Without these invisible helpers, our digital and professional life would quickly come to a standstill. However, creating and maintaining these interfaces is still a manual, complex and expensive programming task for software developers. If problems or changes to third-party systems occur during operation, this quickly leads to outages and security risks.

This is where APICHAMP comes in. Using artificial intelligence, APICHAMP creates ready-to-use interfaces in seconds, connected to users' existing data sources. Depending on each specific scenario, the finished interface can be hosted on various customer systems, and is able to monitor itself.

Research cooperation with SCCH

Artificial intelligence (AI) opens up many new opportunities, particularly in the area of automated interpretation of data sources and the automatic creation of suitable data queries. These technologies are still at the beginning of their development, but following its research in this field, AIPICHAMP aims to strengthen Austria as an AI location and position an innovative development tool on the international market.

The processes behind an interface — i.e. which data is queried, prepared and processed from where and how — always need to be adapted and maintained for each source of data. “Artificial intelligence can help solve these tasks easier and faster. That is why it is great to have at our side a competent research partner in the field of artificial intelligence in the form of the Software Competence Center Hagenberg (SCCH),” explains Dominik Rampelt, CEO and co-founder of APICHAMP.
