LCM receives HRBert 2024 award
12. September 2024
Linz Center of Mechtronics GmbH (LCM), a member of UAR Innovation Network, was delighted to receive the HRBert 2024 award in the “Sustainable Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises” category at the HR Connect(s) conference. The coveted prize is awarded every year by the Business Upper Austria location agency and highlights creative and sustainable HR management in Upper Austrian companies. This award once again demonstrates LCM's strong success in the direction of future-focused personnel management.
Linz Center of Mechatronics (LCM) received the high profile HRBert 2024 award for their project entitled Equality and Company Loyalty by Supporting Fathers. The LCM supports fathers in particular and has already achieved a paternity leave rate of almost 100% over the years with an average leave period of four and a half months. What’s more, the LCM offers customized working time models at all levels of the organization. Staying in employment but reducing the number of working hours to a minimum during parental leave ensures that people stay involved while providing time for the family. Taking leave to care for family members and the option of special leave during difficult times are also a matter of course at the company. LCM also successfully implements part-time management. This corporate culture is well communicated. Congratulations on the birth of a baby, family celebrations and open house days make it clear within the company that the role of a father has an important place. The public image of the company also reflects this culture and is part of the employer branding campaign. LCM also participated in the Austrian Ministry's initiative “Companies for Families - Companies for Fathers” in 2023.
