Mag. Michael Moser is the new Area-Manager „Software Science“ at SCCH

On December 1, 2023, Mag. Michael Moser (43) took over the management of the Software Science research area. He has been working at SCCH for 17 years and has previously been responsible for the successful implementation of projects in the area of software system analysis and the development of the eknows analysis platform. In his new role, the business information technology graduate will place a particular focus on the connection between software and artificial intelligence.

"Artificial intelligence is leading to far-reaching changes, including in classic software development. Software Science has the ideal conditions to, on the one hand, advance the integration of AI in software development and, on the other hand, to improve the development and deployment of AI systems using software engineering methods. The Software Competence Center Hagenberg (SCCH) is a non-university research center. Founded in 1999 as a spin-off from the Johannes Kepler University Linz (JKU), the SCCH is one of the affiliated companies of Upper Austrian Research GmbH, the leading research company in the state of Upper Austria. The SCCH and its researchers conduct internationally recognized, application-oriented, cutting-edge research in the areas of data science, software science and artificial intelligence. This focus makes it possible to optimally implement projects in the areas of digitalization, Industry 4.0 or artificial intelligence. The SCCH currently employs 130 people from 23 nations and sees itself as an interface between research and business, with the transfer of knowledge to local companies having top priority.
