George C. Marshall Delegation Visits Upper Austrian Research
A high-ranking US delegation from the Austrian Marshall Plan Foundation paid Upper Austrian Research GmbH (UAR) a visit on 17/11/2016 during its one-week stay in Austria.
The Austrian Marshall Plan Foundation supports cooperation between Austrian and American universities and academics with the aim of promoting knowledge transfer between the two countries. The means used to achieve this include research scholarships, (visiting) professorships, conferences, lectures and symposia, joint research projects and publications.
To provide an insight into the Upper Austrian research scene in the field of materials science and to explore avenues for future cooperation, representatives of UAR, the Upper Austrian University of Applied Sciences, the Johannes Kepler University Linz and K1-MET presented their particular research competences to the scientists from leading US research institutions.
The delegation went on to visit the Linz Center of Mechatronics GmbH (LCM) in the JKU Science Park. The day before, the group of researchers also visited the Polymer Competence Center Leoben GmbH (PCCL), another of the UAR’s associated companies.
