Second CALUMMA SuperUser Workshop at KUK NeuroMed Campus

CALUMMA has been in successful use at Kepler University Hospital's NeuroMed Campus for many years now. Among other things, CALUMMA is used for collecting medical data for aneurysm treatment and for documentation and information-gathering in the field of addiction.

To provide more in-depth training for medical staff on the data management and evaluation tool, the second CALUMMA SuperUser Workshop was held in March. Sandra Wartner and Manuel Perfler of the specialist team for Data Management and Analytics at RISC Software GmbH gave the participants detailed insights into the many functionalities that CALUMMA has to offer.

The workshop included both a theoretical part and a practical section that guided users through the data analysis workflow. During the workshop it was shown how data that has been collected can be validated and cleansed and how implicit knowledge can be derived from it. The workshop went on to demonstrate the various visualization possibilities offered by CALUMMA. These generally allow even more detailed examination of the data which helps to generate new knowledge from the existing data. Due to the great interest shown in the session, plans are already being made for the next CALUMMA SuperUser Workshop which will concentrate on doctors’ specific medical application cases.
