SCCH: eAward in the Industrie 4.0 Category

On 31 January the “eAward 2019” was presented in Vienna. Over 200 guests attended the event at which projects in a total of seven categories were honoured. The eAward is one of the biggest IT industry prizes in Austria. Software Competence Center Hagenberg (SCCH) was able to win the judges over with the Predictive Analytics Message Board. The tool works with data-based modelling, analysis of local sensor data and benchmark figures from similar machines.

PROFACTOR: Augmented Reality Helps Surgeons and Engineers

Augmented reality technologies have become an integral part of industrial production. They assist human operators with assembly, for example by means of projections showing the assembly steps. The objective of the VizARd research project that has just begun is to take the development of this technology further using two very different practical examples: quality inspection in aircraft construction and planning surgical operations on the human body.

PROFACTOR Designs Tomorrow's Fashions

CREATIVE REGION has landed a European lighthouse project with the Steyr-based research company PROFACTOR with a budget of EUR 4 million. With other partners from Germany, Spain, Israel, Italy and Switzerland, plus the Linz-based firm of Haratech and the University of Art and Design Linz, research will be conducted into the future of fashion in the Re-FREAM project at three locations: Linz, Berlin and Valencia.
